How to Split Abandoned Cart Flow Based on Cart Value

One of the most important emails from ecommerce brands is their abandoned cart flow. One simple way to optimize this opportunity, is to split the flow to send a different message based on the cart value.  In this  example, if your store provides Free Shipping for customers who spend more than $50, we want to inform the customer that they have qualified for Free Shipping. And for those under the threshold, they can get a more standard cart abandonment message.

The Setup Requirements

  • Klaviyo
  • Shopify Integration
  • 2 Email / Email Series

Here’s how it works. It checks for the total price of the products in the abandoned cart and depending on the “Trigger Split” settings it will forward the subscriber to the “Yes” or “No” path of the Flow. In this example we chose $50 as threshold. If the total price of the abandoned cart is greater than $50 it will forward the subscriber to the “Yes” path. If the total price of the abandoned cart is lower $50 it will forward the subscriber to the “No” path of the Flow. You can use this split to configure two different pathways in the Flow based on value of the abandoned cart so you can send different messages based on the cart value.
