
A lot of customers subscribe to get a discount, but a lot of them forget to use it, and thus don’t ever purchase. Wouldn’t it be worth reminding them that the discount is still available to get another sale?
Here’s how to do this.
The Setup Requirements
- Klaviyo
- Shopify Integration
- 1 Email (or more if you’d like)
Configuring the Flow “Triggers and Filters”
Click “Lists & Segments”

Click “Create List / Segment”

Click “Segment”

Name the segment, in this case “Finished Welcome Series, No Purchase” then click “What someone has done (or not done”) Has “Received Email” “at least once” “over all time” where “Flow” equals “welcome_series.” Click “AND”

Click “If someone is in or not in a list” choose person “is” in the name of your primary list, in this case, “Newsletter” and was added “more than” “90” “days”. Click “AND”.

Click “What someone has done (or not done)” has “Ordered Product” “zero times” “over all time” then click “Create Segment”

Click “Flows” from the right hand menu, then click “Create Flow”

Name the flow what you’d like, in this case “Discount Reminder” then click “Create Flow”

Click “Segment”

Choose the segment you just created using whatever you named it, in this case “Finished Welcome Series, No Purchase”

Click “Done”

Drag the email to the dot under the trigger. Edit the email with a welcome discount reminder.

Click “Save & Exit”

Here’s how this works, if someone has received all of the welcome series, and has been in the subscriber list for more than 90 days, but has not purchased, then the subscriber gets added to the segment and is reminded of the welcome discount (presuming you have one). If you don’t, this also might be a good place to put a discount.
